Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday, June 12, expressed his solidarity in commemorating the 126th Anniversary of the Philippine Independence.
According to Duterte, the celebration is a reminder of the sacrifices made by national heroes in fighting for the country's independence.
(I join our countrymen in celebrating Independence Day. This day is a remembrance and recognition of our heroes, for all their sacrifices for our freedom and independence.)
The Department of Education secretary noted the celebration is also a reminder of being united in achieving the country's goal.
(This is also a reminder to us that we continue to work together and unite towards a stable, peaceful, and prosperous Philippine nation.)
