Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently conducted an immersive training in hopes of intensifying the efforts made for Vape Law implementation.
The department’s active engagement is part of their commitment to consumer welfare and fair-trade regulations. Along with DTI regional counterparts in Northern Luzon and Muslim Mindanao, the Trade Regulation and Consumer Protection Division (TRCP) of the Ministry Trade, Investment and Tourism (MTIT) aim to enhance the necessary skills and knowledge on the law.
Training sessions were led by the DTI-Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (FTEB) on May 16, which included joint enforcement activities that targeted vape shops and other retail outlets across Makati and Taguig. This was in line with their “Training on Enforcement & Familiarization on Sales Promotion, Accreditation of Service Repair Shops and Private Emission Testing Centers.”
“We strive not only to ensure compliance with fair trade regulations, but also to prioritize the capability of our monitors and enforcers to carry out our mandate,” the Supervising Head and Assistant Secretary Agaton Teodoro Uvero of the DTI-Fair Trade Group (FTG) remarked.
