The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday said a case has already been filed against the eldest son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crisping 'Boying' Remulla after he was arrested during anti-illegal drug operations in Las Piñas City.

Juanito Jose Diaz Remulla III, 38, is facing charges of importation of dangerous drugs and violation of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, the agency said.

PDEA filed the complaint on Thursday before the Office of the City Prosecutor in Las Piñas City.

Several media entities previously reported that the younger Remulla was consignee of a parcel from a certain Benjamin Huffman of 1524 Horblend St. San Diego, California which contained 937 grams of high grade marijuana (kush) with a street value of Php 1.31 million.

He is temporarily under PDEA’s custody.
