Attention all aspiring K-pop stars: this is your moment to prove you’ve got what it takes to be the next big thing!
Another opportunity awaits Filipinos to break into the K-pop industry, as The Black Label announced on Tuesday, April 1, that it will hold global auditions starting this month. In its social media post, the South Korean talent agency and music label said the auditions are open to anyone born between 2006 and 2015.
How Can You Apply?
All interested applicants may pre-register via Google Forms or through on-site auditions. Based on the announcement, the venue and time for the on-site audition will be emailed to those who pre-registered.
The online registration for auditionees will be open until three days before the scheduled event in each city. They will hold the Manila auditions on May 11, so register three days before the event to secure your slots.
The Black Label noted that applicants may only select one category (vocal, rap, or dance) to audition. Each applicant will be given one minute to perform in their chosen category. However, the agency clarified that the auditions are only open to individual applicants.
Music will be provided for dance performances, while applicants for the vocal and rap categories must perform without music.
The agency will contact applicants who passed the auditions within a month after their audition dates.
The global auditions would be hosted in cities like Seoul, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Los Angeles, Orange County, Toronto, and Vancouver, among others.

K-pop agencies have been scouting for talent across the globe for years, but have only recently included cities like Manila. In November 2024, YG Entertainment flew to the Philippines to hold a global audition in the same categories.
The Black Label houses several known Korean artists like Rosé of Blackpink, Jeon Somi, and Zion T.. It was founded by Teddy Park in 2016.
