DOTr deploys buses and trucks for passengers in need of transport amid downpour and flooding

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced the deployment of buses and trucks for passengers in need of transportation during persistent rains and flooding on Tuesday, July 22.

The vehicles, belonging to the DOTr, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine Ports Authority, will be taking passengers through the following routes:

  • Quiapo until Angono, RIzal
  • Quiapo until Fairview, Quezon City
  • Lawton until Alabang, Muntinlupa City
  • Philcoa until Fairview, Quezon City

Passengers may avail themselves of the service from 7:00 to 10:00 in the morning, and again at 5:00 to 8:00 in the evening.

On Monday, the DOTr implemented free rides aboard MRT-3, LRT-1, and 2. Both initiatives were ordered by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced at 10 a.m. that it is currently monitoring three low pressure areas (LPAs). Two are inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), and one outside.
