The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released a total of P11.6 billion in funds for the 2021 performance-based bonus for teachers.
In a report by Leth Narciso, the DBM stated that the fund is allocated for more than 920,000 personnel of public elementary and secondary schools under the Department of Education (DepEd).
It can be recalled that in June, DBM National Capital Region (NCR) previously issued the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) and Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) worth about P951 million for teachers.
The requirements for the remaining 15 DepEd regions went through revalidation or revision; however, based on the DBM records, the release of SARO and NCAs in all 16 region officers was completed on September 1.
Meanwhile, the 2021 PBB of non-teaching personnel in eight regions is still in the process of revalidation.
The documents from the Schools Division Offices of NCR, CAR, and Regions 3, 4-A, 8, 11, 12, and 13 are still under review by the DBM Central Office.
