Social media influencer and disk jockey (DJ) Jellie Aw has turned to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to file a complaint against her fiancé, Jam Ignacio, for alleged physical abuse.
In a press briefing in Pasay City, NBI Director Jaime Santiago stated that they aim to arrest Ignacio today.
During her statement to the NBI, Jellie Aw emphasized that she remained resolute in having Ignacio face imprisonment, regardless of any apology or attempts at reconciliation from him.
NBI Director Santiago guaranteed that Ignacio would face legal consequences for the alleged abuse committed against Aw.
On Friday, the social media personality shared a Facebook reel showing her bloodied and bruised face following the alleged abuse, which quickly went viral.
"No woman deserves to be physically abused by a man. Love should never come with fear or violence. If someone lays a hand on you in anger, that’s not love – it’s abuse," DJ Jellie Aw said.
"Walk away, seek help, and prioritize your safety. Lesson: Red flags ignored early can turn into deep regrets later. Know your worth, set your boundaries, and never settle for less than respect and kindness," she added.
As of this writing, Ignacio has not yet been located by authorities.
