Two civilians were injured after the arrest of a dismissed police officer, allegedly involved in a shooting in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan, escalated into an exchange of gunfire.

In a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort, it was stated that based on the information received by the NCRPO from the Northern Police District, a 25-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were injured after being struck by a stray bullet.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, inside a vehicle, suddenly fired at the arresting officers, causing the authorities to return fire in defense.

The bullets hit the car's tires, forcing the suspect to exit and walk home, where he was later apprehended by the operating team.
