by John Dexter Tilo05 January 2022

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Wednesday revealed that it is monitoring four local government units (LGUs) where restrictions could possibly be increased up to Alert Level 4.

DILG Epimaco Densing disclosed to DZRH the information on Wednesday but did not specify if the said LGUs are inside or outside the National Capital Region.

"Meron kaming binabantayan na apat na LGU ngayon na posible pang i-escalate to Alert Level 3 or even Alert Level 4," he said.

(Hopefully, their situation can improve so it will not escalate.

Currently, the entire NCR, Rizal, Cavite, and Bulacan are under the stricter Alert Level 3, with tighter restrictions imposed in indoor and outdoor venues.

In-person classes, contact sports, funfairs/peryas, and casinos are also not allowed under Alert Level 3.
