The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reminded beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) that the cash grant that they receive should only 'supplement' their financial needs.
DSWD Asec. Irene Dumlao said on Wednesday, March 20, that the government provide sustainable livelihood programs to help 4Ps beneficiaries to acquire employment, or engage in a micro-business.
Dumlao stressed that the cash grants aim to ensure the health, and education of children.
"We have always espoused that, to break the intergeneration cycle of poverty, we really have to invest in the education and health," Dumlao said during DILG sa DZRH Breaktime.
