

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that its consular office in Baguio City will be accommodating passport applications on 19 July 2025, Saturday, in line with the 16th Founding Anniversary of the DFA CO Baguio and the 38th Founding Anniversary of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
In an announcement posted on DFA’s official Facebook page, it confirmed that CO Baguio will be open for passport service from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Who May Avail of the Passport Service?
According to the DFA, natives and residents of Cordillera, including their immediate family members are eligible.
For married applicants, immediate family members are their spouse and minor children. For single applicants, immediate members are their unmarried minor child/ren, parents and unmarried siblings, the DFA stated.
The DFA reminded the applicants to “bring proof of residency and affiliation.”
Meanwhile, courtesy lane eligible applicants comprise of senior citizens, pregnant women, Persons With Disabilities (PWDs); solo parent and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), regardless of residency, DFA added.
Important Reminders
The DFA reminded the public that the CO will only accommodate 150 applicants, in addition to the courtesy lane applicants. Accommodation will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Accommodation does not guarantee approval of the passport application, and all applicants are processed following existing laws, rules and regulations for passport processing, the DFA mentioned.
Applicants with disapproved applications will be given the opportunity to return to complete their applications and will be given a schedule when to return; while for the other applications, date of release is tentative and may take additional days for further evaluation from DFA Manila, the DFA explained.
CO Baguio also reminded all applicants NOT to purchase outbound travel tickets until passports are actually in the possession of the applicant.
The DFA emphasized that “it will not be responsible for any rebooking charges, loss of income, and other financial compensation and/or personal losses arising from the applicant’s travel arrangements made while the passport has not been released.
