Senatorial candidate Christopher “Bong” Go remained the frontrunner in the third wave of the MBC-DZRH Pre-Election Survey.

A month after the release of Wave 2 results, the Manila Broadcasting Company-DZRH has now released the results of the third wave of the nationwide pre-election survey for the 2025 midterm senatorial race.

The independent survey was conducted nationwide from April 12 to April 14, involving 7,508 respondents and bearing a margin of error of ±1.13%.

Here are the top 24 who led the survey results:

  3. TULFO, ERWIN TESHIBA - 50.4 %
  4. LACSON, PANFILO MORENA - 42.9%
  5. SOTTO, VICENTE III CASTELO - 41.8%
  6. TULFO, BIENVENIDO TESHIBA - 40.1%
  7. VILLAR, CAMILLE AGUILAR - 39.5%
  8. LAPID, MANUEL MERCADO - 38.9%
  9. CAYETANO, PILAR JULIANA SCHRAMM - 36.3%
  10. BONG REVILLA, RAMON JR. BAUTISTA - 34.3%
  11. BINAY, MAR-LEN ABIGAIL SOMBILLO - 33.8%

Comparison to Wave 2 (March 8-10, 2025)

Senator Christopher "Bong" Go of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP–Laban) maintained his top ranking in the survey and even saw an increase in voter support compared to Wave 2 (55.9%). Meanwhile, Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa experienced a notable surge, jumping from 6th place (41.4%) to 2nd place in the latest results.

Following Go is ACT-CIS Partylist Representative Erwin Tulfo of Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas–CMD), who previously held 2nd place (55.7%) in Wave 2 but has now slightly declined to 3rd. Former Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson also saw a dip, moving from 3rd place (46.4%) to 4th place.

Former Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto, who was tied for 4th (46.4%) with Lacson in the second wave , has now fallen to 5th place. Broadcaster Bienvenido "Ben" Tulfo, who ranked 5th (43.3%) in the previous survey, has dropped to 6th place.

Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar improved her standing, climbing from 8th place (40.6%) to 7th. Senator Manuel "Lito" Lapid also advanced, rising from 9th place (40.1%) to 8th place.

On the other hand, former Senator Pia Cayetano slipped from 8th place (40.9%) to 9th. Senator Bong Revilla moved up to 10th place, improving from 12th (36.8%) in the second wave.

Former Senator Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, who was previously ranked 10th place (38.5%) in Wave 2, dropped to 14th and is no longer part of the Wave 3 Top 10.

In compliance with the directive of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the survey was independently conducted and fully funded by MBC Media Group – DZRH and was not commissioned or sponsored by any political candidate, ensuring impartiality and objectivity in its execution and results.

The MBC Media Group emphasized that this initiative is part of their commitment in providing the public with transparent and unbiased information to help guide their decisions during the elections.

Senatorial elections in the Philippines take place every three years, aligning with both midterm and presidential election cycles.

The upcoming senatorial election is set for May 12, 2025, as part of the general elections. In this election, Filipinos will vote for 12 senators who will each serve a six-year term, replacing half of the 24-seat Senate.
