The Department of Education (DepEd) announced Friday, Sept. 28, the implementation of "blended learning" on October 5, October 21, and November 3 to participate in the celebration of World Teachers’ Day and prepare for the upcoming 2023 Barangay, Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
“To allow teachers to participate in activities in celebration of World Teachers’ Day on 05 October 2023, and give them ample time to complete election-related duties for the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on 30 October 2023,” DepEd said.
“All in-person classes in public elementary and secondary schools, including community learning centers of the Alternative Learning System (ALS), shall shift to the various blended learning modalities (i.e., modular distance, asynchronous),” it added.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Ben Abalos announced Monday, Oct. 2, that all public schools in city will observe DepEd’s memorandum regarding "blended learning" on the said dates.
