The Davao City Council has filed a resolution condemning a joke made by Vice Ganda pertaining to Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte during his concert with Regine Velasquez on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

The comedian caused different comments and conversations online with his controversial skit, stating: “Nothing beats a jetski holiday. Ride now from Manila to the West Philippine Sea via jet skis. Enjoy unlimited water bombing from Chinese vessels—and receive a free trip to The Hague courtesy of the ICC. Promo applies to DDS only. Pinklawans and BBMs are prohibited. Huwag niyo akong subukan, mga put*ng*n* nyo.”

This joke drew different reactions from the Diehard Duterte Supporters (DDS), who urged the Davao City Council to declare Vice Ganda as Persona Non Grata.

In a report by Jhun Sater in Rapido hataw Balita, Davao City Council chose to file a resolution in response, which carries the same weight as the public’s proposal.

The council also emphasized the importance of showing respect to leaders who have served the country.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda remains silent over this issue with the public; however, the comedian has noticeably lost almost 1 million followers after the concert. The comedian reached 20 million followers last August 7.
