The COVID-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) dipped to 19.9 percent on January 2 from 24.7 percent on December 26, according to OCTA Research on Thursday, Jan. 4.
OCTA Research Fellow Dr. Guido David said the positivity rate had peaked in the last week of December last year.

Guido also shared that the Department of Health logged 459 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, reaching 5,491 active cases nationwide.

He earlier projected the peak of cases, but warned that the infection could spread to other provinces.
