On the second day of the “Build Better More” Infrastructure Forum at the New Clark City, Clark International Airport and Corp. (CIAC), CEO Arrey Perez announced their plan to construct a Taylor Swift-ready stadium near the airport.
The government funded project took inspiration from the singer-songwriter's Eras Tour, after the Philippines was not included in the list of countries that she will visit.
PHP32 billion will be alloted for the construction of the 40-hectare land, a short distance from the Clark International Airport. Construction is set to begin in 2025, expecting its inauguration by 2028. Perez said that they began conceptualizing in November last year, and the stadium will have a seating capacity of 25,000 to 35,000, more ideal than the usual size of a concert hall.
Besides the stadium, the corporation also planned the construction of Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the National Museum, National Academy of Sports, and several others.
