China's VP Wang Qishan to attend Marcos inauguration

China's Vice President Wang Qishan will be attending the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on June 30.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that Wang will serve as the "special representative" of Chinese President Xi Jinping during the oath-taking ceremony of Marcos Jr. at the National Museum.
No further details about his attendance were provided.
On Tuesday, United States Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff, husband of US Vice President Kamala Harris, arrived in Manila in time for the June 30 event.

He will be leading the US delegation for the Marcos inauguration.
