Senatorial candidate Luis "Manong Chavit" Singson has pledged to tackle the persistent issues of red tape, bureaucracy, and inefficient government processes that hinder business growth in the Philippines.
"Napakahirap magnegosyo dito sa bansa dahil sa red tape. Kaya naman gagawin ko ang lahat upang makapagbalik ako sa ating mga kababayan at masiguro ang kinabukasan ng mga susunod na henerasyon," Singson stated.
A seasoned politician with extensive experience in business, Singson highlighted the need to remove barriers to entrepreneurial growth in order to unlock the country’s full economic potential.
One of his most recent initiatives is the establishment of the K-Beauty Industrial Complex in Incheon Economic Zone, South Korea, through a memorandum of agreement. This complex will serve as a hub for research, production, and trade in the beauty and cosmetics industry, providing thousands of job opportunities for Filipinos and training programs for Filipino students interested in the field.
In addition, Singson is pushing for the Modern Public Utility Vehicle (MPUV) program, which aims to provide loans to jeepney drivers and operators with no interest, no collateral, and no down payment. He emphasized that the program will not only reduce pollution but also create jobs and stimulate economic growth. Singson has also pioneered one of the first e-jeepney factories in the Philippines.
To promote financial inclusion, Singson plans to strengthen the country’s digital banking system through VBank, a digital platform offering online transactions that would benefit underserved communities, eliminating the need for traditional banks.
Another key proposal is his Chavit500 universal basic income plan, which seeks to provide a monthly allowance of PHP 500 to low-income earners aged 18 and above.
Known for his integrity and consistent track record, Singson assured that his programs aim to uplift the lives of Filipinos.
