Senatorial candidate Luis "Manong Chavit" Singson highlighted the importance of collaboration between national and local leaders during his speech at the Vice Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) assembly held on Thursday at Diamond Hotel, Roxas Boulevard.
With years of experience in politics, Singson shared his vision for creating inclusive growth and strengthening partnerships to address the challenges faced by local government units. He stressed that unity and cooperation are key to achieving true progress for the country.
Known as the "Kaibigan ng Lahat, Kaibigan ng Masa" (Friend of All, Friend of the Masses), Singson—number 58 on the Senate ballot—outlined his platforms focused on improving the lives of everyday Filipinos.
He introduced several initiatives, including the VBank digital bank and the Chavit500 project, aimed at providing grassroots communities with easy access to financial services. These programs are designed to help small businesses and empower local economies by making financial support more accessible.
Singson’s approach reflects his practical experience as a public servant, with a focus on delivering tangible solutions for the people. He also emphasized the need for strong, reliable leadership to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges, stressing that a leader must be true to their word.
The event also allowed Singson to strengthen his relationship with local government officials, many of whom expressed their support for his candidacy.
