Celtics rout Mavericks; grab 18th NBA title

The Boston Celtics won their 18th NBA title.
The Celtics routed the Dallas Mavericks, 106-88, on Monday, June 17, to bring an end to best-of-seven championship series in Game Five.
Jayson Tatum finished with 31 points and 11 assists while Jaylen Brown, who grabbed the Finals Most Valuable Player award, scored 21 points for Boston.
The Celtics now have won the most NBA titles in the entire league.

Boston never trailed throughout the game and ended the first quarter with a 10 point lead, 28-18, which ballooned to a 21-point advantage at halftime.
Luka Doncic registered 28 points and 12 rebounds while Kyrie Irving and Derrick Jones Jr. combined for 25 points as they paced the Mavericks, which trailed behind by up to 26 points.
