The Court of Appeals (CA) in Cagayan de Oro nullified the Temporary Protection Order (TPO) issued by the Davao City Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 15 in favor of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
The protection order required the Philippine National Police (PNP) to remove all barricades, barriers, and other obstacles around the KOJC compound. The police's blocking of access points and other properties within the compound was believed to be a violation of the religious group's rights.

CA’s 22nd Division ruled that the amparo petition was related to the cases against Quiboloy, which are already being handled by the Regional Trial Court in Quezon City.
Meanwhile, Atty. Israelito Torreon, Legal Counsel of KOJC, mentioned that they will file a motion for reconsideration.
He argued that KOJC members should be able to seek immediate judicial relief for constitutional violations without traveling to Quezon City or Pasig City. Torreon also noted that the writ of amparo should be filed in the location where the alleged violations occurred, which is Davao City in this case.
