After being romantically linked to Dominic Roque, Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos finally addressed the issue and confirmed that there was no truth behind the allegations between him and the actor.
Jalosjos clarified the speculations and rumors of being referred to as a 'sugar daddy’ and bought a condominium unit for Roque, admitting that the mentioned property was his; however, it was part of his business, in which the actor asked him to rent it.
The Dapitan mayor called out showbiz insiders, who claim as veteran journalists, should be cautious in spreading information and be more responsible in fact-checking so the people would understand the whole context of the story.
As Roque and actress Bea Alonzo jointly confirmed their engagement, Jaloslos expressed his concern to the actor, particularly due to the rumors that questioned his sexuality.
Jalosjos then declared that people would be reprimanded for spreading the rumors and leaving harsh and insulting comments against Roque and that there should be consequences.
Meanwhile, the mayor then showed a receipt as proof that he had an agreement with Roque about fixing the condominium, which the actor has been renting for three years.
On the same day, Roque also released a statement through his lawyers on the defamatory and malicious allegations against him by Cristy Fermin on her vlogs following his breakup with actress Bea Alonzo.
