The Bureau of Correction (BuCor) announced on Thursday that visitors for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City and Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City are now allowed.
According to the BuCor, it permitted the resumption of the visitation schedule after the two facilities have been declared as COVID-19-free.
The visitation will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 7 AM to 3 PM.
The Bureau said the minimum health protocols like wearing of face masks must be observed at all times and visitors are still required to present the results of the antigen test taken 24 hours before the visit.
Earlier this month, the BuCor suspended the visitation privileges amid the high COVID-19 cases in the two facilities. BuCor earlier reported that 57 inmates in NBP tested positive for COVID-19.
