South Korean girl group BLACKPINK proved their status as global superstars as TIME Magazine selected them as 'Entertainer of the Year 2022.'
The prestigious magazine revisits the group's history while interacting with the members' personal thoughts and reflections in a special feature.
The girl group has now become the second K-pop artist in history to obtain the title after BTS who earned the title in 2018.
According to 'TIME' through an Instagram post, the group managed to become the biggest girl group in the world with the members shining on their own, also saying that the K-pop stars succeeded in demanding its attention in fashion and on screen.

BLACKPINK, consisting of four members Jisoo, Jennie,Rosé, and Lisa debuted in 2016 with their first single album "Square One" under YG Entertainment. They officially signed with U.S. label Interscope records in 2018.
Reffered to as the "biggest girl group in the world," BLACKPINK is said to be the most successful girl group internationally.
The girls have broken numerous online records throughout their career with their hit songs such as "KIll This Love," "How You Like That," "Pink Venom," "Shutdown," and more which led them to winning many awards.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is continuously having their world tour "BORN PINK" in Europe and Asia from December into early 2023.
They are slated to hold a two-day concert in the country in March 2023.
