With all the things that BLACKPINK’s Lisa has planned out for 2025, one can’t help but wonder, what else will she do?
Apart from the upcoming release of her highly-anticipated album, “Alter Ego,” and comic book, Lisa is also set to make history as the first K-pop idol to perform at the 97th Oscars in March.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post on Tuesday, the Academy unveiled the three global superstars who will be taking the stage at the prestigious awards show.
“Three global superstars. One epic #Oscars moment. Doja Cat, LISA of Blackpink, and RAYE take the stage for a showstopping celebration of cinema,” the Academy wrote.

The Thai artist previously collaborated with the two global artists for her single, “Born Again,” which was released earlier this month. This will mark the first-ever live performance of the track.
“Born Again” is part of Lisa’s upcoming full-length album, which is set to drop on February 28.
Meanwhile, the 97th Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theatre in California on March 2 (US date) and will be hosted by Conan O’Brien.
More artists slated to perform at the Oscars are the “Wicked” stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who are both nominees for this year’s show. Meanwhile, Queen Latifah will also take the Oscars stage.
