The Bureau of Immigration (BI) countered the statement from the camp of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo asserting that she is a Filipino.

This comes after Guo Hua Ping, also known as Alice Guo, appeared and testified at the hearing for the deportation case filed against her.

Atty. Gilbert Repizo, Chief of the Board of Special Inquiry, stated that the special prosecutor presented substantial evidence showing that Guo is not a Filipino and that she falsified her documents.

Repizo pointed to the fingerprint records held by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), which prove that Guo Hua Ping and Alice Guo are one and the same person.

In light of this, the BI gave Guo's camp the opportunity to hire an expert to refute the NBI's fingerprint records.

Along with the fingerprint evidence, the special prosecutor presented Guo's alleged birth certificate, which was manipulated to make it appear that she is Filipino.

In addition to the deportation case, the former mayor is also facing several charges, including qualified human trafficking, tax evasion, and graft.
