P-pop boy band BGYO was astonished to see that they were included on the Grammy website, having been featured as well in an article about "Many Sounds of Asian Pop" for redefining what it means to be a boy band in the Philippines.

The five-member group consisting of Akira, Gelo, JL, Mikki, and Nate shared their insights about getting attention from the Grammys, saying that they only knew about it during their "Be Us" second-anniversary album showcase on May 12 at SM City North Edsa Skydome.

According to Mikki, the news gave them much energy to perform on stage after they found out the news, and it helped them with their performances.

While JL, on the other hand, said that he couldn't believe it, the members checked it on the Grammy website, and they were left speechless.

According to the Grammy article, BGYO is a group that combines aspects of pop and R&B while owing its music and style to its Filipino background.

The report also mentioned that the group's music does not shy away from addressing societal themes that are important to young people, such as self-love and empowerment.

Meanwhile, BGYO supporters once again demonstrated their love for their hero group by making #BGYOSaSaktoOnStage one of the top trending topics on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

ABS-CBN launched BGYO in 2018 through its Star Hunt Academy. They made their formal debut in 2021 after enduring rigorous training akin to the K-pop trainee system.
