Actress Belle Mariano makes history as the first Filipino to win the Outstanding Asian Star award at the 17th Seoul International Drama Awards.
The 20-year-old 'He's Into Her' star is one of the five recipients of the Outstanding Asian Star Prize, besting 175 other actors in the region.
"Congrats Belle for winning the 'OUTSTANDING ASIAN STAR' in the Seoul International Drama Awards," Rise Artists Studio, ABS-CBN Films’ talent management arm, said. “Rise Fam is very proud of you!”
Belle's victory comes after the back-to-back wins of GMA actors Alden Richards and Dingdong Dantes in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Other awardees are China’s Wallace Chung, Japan’s Yusei Yagi, Taiwan’s Alice Ko, and Thailand’s Krit Amnuaydechkorn.
Mariano rose to fame after her portrayal of Maxpein Del Valle Luna in “He's Into Her” and the young Gabbie Salazar in “Four Sisters Before the Wedding.”
