Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza was recognized for her performance in the hit historical fantasy series 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' from 'Gawad Banyuhay sa Programang Pang-Edukasyon' during the Gawad Banyuhay Award 2022 held at the Manila Hotel on December 12.
Sparkle GMA Artist Center took to Instagram, sharing a photo of Forteza seen going up on stage to receive the award.

Forteza plays the role of Klay, a Gen Z nursing student who was taken back in time and into Dr. Jose Rizal's "Noli Me Tangere" novel.
The series inspired the public to read or reread Dr. Rizal's novels.
In an interview, Forteza expressed her proud moment and gratitude for being part of the biggest project.
Meanwhile, Gawad Banyuhay recognizes individuals or groups for living and leading an exemplary life for others through transformative community service and engagement.
It celebrates the iconic lives of personalities in their pursuit of life purpose amid adversities, highlighting the personal and career success that transcends beyond oneself to improve the lives of others.
