The Bangsamoro Airways, an airline that shall connect mainland Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to its island provinces, will launch operation on Wednesday, April 24.
In a news release posted on Bangsamoro government's official website, it was said that Bangsamoro Airways will begin flying to Zamboanga City and Sulu Province on April 24.
Six to 10 passengers including the pilot are expected to be accommodated in each flight.
Bangsamoro Airways reportedly will extend its operation to the municipalities of Sibutu and Mapun in Tawi-Tawi after three months of operation.
The pioneering airline also plans to fly to Kuta Kinabalu in Malaysia after a year.

In the same news release, Bangsamoro Board of Investments chairperson Mohammad Pasigan said Bangsamoro Airways "promotes convenience and saves money" for passengers.
He expressed his hope that the development would bring investors into the BARRM, and that fellow Bangsamoro residents would help in maintaining their region "peaceful and safe" for investors.
Bangsamoro Airways is operated by Federal Airways Incorporated.
