Senatorial candidate Minguita Padilla revealed that one of the reasons she is motivated to run for Senate is to fix the ongoing problems faced by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

The organization has been hit by corruption allegations back in 2020, which led to the investigation of some of its officials.

According to Padilla, the slow movement of justice has left cases against some officials pending before the Ombudsman.
