Operatives from the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), and Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted a raid on Saturday morning in a residential home allegedly owned by a former government official.
The raid took place at a residential property in Pinewoods Golf and Country Club situated in Tuba Benguet.
The operation reportedly targeted five Chinese nationals who had allegedly been residing in the house since 2019.
During the raid, two Chinese nationals were found. One of them was able to present a working visa.
Furthermore, BI will be verifying if the Chinese national who presented a working visa is in the agency's system.
According to Dana Sandoval, Immigration Spokesperson, one of the two Chinese nationals apprehended is said to be a POGO worker in the raided POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac.
The authorities were unable to enter the house to determine if there were other Chinese nationals inside due to the absence of a search warrant.
The agencies are conducting an ongoing investigation to identify the owner of the raided house.
