The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) said once they proved that the staffers, who were caught filming the K-pop group ENHYPEN during their pre-departure screening, were members of the NAIA security team, they may face expulsions.
On Monday, a now-deleted TikTok video from user heyitsdemianne went viral on social media.
In the said clip, female staff can be seen frisking the members, particularly Heeseung and Ni-ki, and gesturing for them to pull down their face masks. The people, including those wearing identification cards (IDs), were also seen taking recordings of the K-pop group
This behavior prompted the fans to call out the unidentified NAIA staff for being 'unprofessional.'
In an interview with another media outlet, OTS administrator Mao Aplasca said filming the screening was the "worst case” violation of the rules of the Manila International Airport Authority, which runs NAIA.
Aplasca said the behavior is like a 'breach of security.' Likewise, requiring the members to remove their masks was also not part of the procedure.
While their office is still trying to find out who exactly filmed the video, Aplasca said that all personnel involved in the area at the time of the incident had already been summoned for an investigation.
ENHYPEN recently concluded their 3-day soldout 'Manifesto' concert in the country.
