Multi-titled coach and former PBA player Loreto 'Ato' Tolentino passed away on Sunday, November 5, at the age of 75 years old.

Marikina councilor Elvis Tolentino confirmed the passing of his father in a short Facebook post.

During his time playing in the PBA from 1975 to 1979, the elder Tolentino, who earned the moniker Mr. Hotshot, suited up for the Presto Ice Cream and the Great Taste Discoverers.

As a coach, Tolentino helped the Philippine Christian University Dolphins to their first championship in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) of the Philippines in 2004.
