Actress Ana Jalandoni on Friday broke her silence and shared a photo of her bruised face following the arrest of her boyfriend, actor Kim Thompson, who was accused of assaulting and detaining her.
"This is me saying, you all should be careful out there," Jalandoni said in a Facebook post, along with her photo.
She then thanked those who checked up on her, adding that she would release a statement soon.
On Friday, Thompson was arrested after police got an emergency call for rescue at a hotel in Tagaytay City.
Jalandoni also sent messages to her friends as well as photos wherein she is pleading for help. A photo of the actress with swollen black eyes is being spread on Twitter.
While the friends of Jalandoni were asking for the assistance of authorities, hotel staff also alerted the Tagaytay police after checking the commotion in the hotel room of the couple.
Meanwhile, Thompson's agency Cornerstone Entertainment released a statement on Friday night saying that "does not condone any act of violence and profoundly value the dignity of women."
It also clarified its earlier statement that asked the public "to be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online."
"We take this opportunity to clarify that our earlier statement was issued with no knowledge of any specific details as we were in receipt only of general allegations. Neither were we privy to any photos of the incident," it said.
"In this delicate situation, we subscribe to the sound discretion of law enforcement and allow the wheels of justice to take its course," it added.
