Actress Ana Jalandoni was rescued by the police on Friday, March 18 after she was allegedly detained and injured by her boyfriend, actor Kit Thompson.
Jalandoni is currently undergoing medical treatment for her injuries while Thompson was held by the police for further questioning.
Information from the Tagaytay Philippine National Police said they rescued Jalandoni after receiving a call from a hotel in Tagaytay. She also sent messages to her friends as well as photos wherein she is pleading for help.
A photo of Jalandoni with swollen black eyes is being spread on Twitter.
While the friends of Jalandoni were asking for the assistance of authorities, hotel staff also alerted the Tagaytay police after checking the commotion in the hotel room of the couple.
Thompson’s management, Cornerstone Entertainment, had yet to receive a formal report about the said incident.
Thompson and Jalandoni went public about their relationship in December last year.
