A second alarm was raised over the Marikina river after the water level reached 16 meters on Saturday, Oct. 29, according to Marikina City Rescue 161.
In its latest public advisory, Marikina City Rescue said the water level at the river is currently at 16.6 meters as of 3:17 pm.
The second alarm was triggered by the continued heavy rains brought by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng.
Eight of the Mangghan floodways are open, the Marikina City Rescue team said.
Under the second alarm level, residents living in flood-prone areas are advised to evacuate.
The Marikina City Rescue team said the volume of rain count level in Mt. Campana and Mt. Oro reached 2 millimeters. While Mt. Boso Boso, Mt. Aries, and Nangka are at 1 millimeters.
