The win put and end to the 13-game losing streak of the Philippines in the inter-country volleyball tournament that stretched since the second leg of the 2019 ASEAN Grand Prix.

Alas Pilipinas will seek to keep the momentum when the squad returns to action in the second leg of the 2024 SEA V.League that will run from August 9 to August 11 in Thailand.
