The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed the results of the recent survey conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia, Inc.
The results of the PAHAYAG 2023 Second Quarter, which PUBLiCUS Asia, Inc. released on Monday, June 25, placed AFP as among the top three most approved and trusted government agencies.
AFP garned an approval rating of 66 percent and a trust rating of 56 percent, same with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) topped the survey with an approval rating of 72 percent and a trust rating of 58 percent.
"The AFP remains thankful for the trust and confidence of the Filipino people as we remain to be among the top-rated government agencies as shown in the PUBLiCUS (Asia) 'PAHAYAG' survey," said LtCol. Enrico Gil Ileto, chief of the AFP Public Affairs Office, said in a statement.
Ileto said that the AFP will take the results of the survey as a challenge to further improve the performance of the institution as protector of the people and the state.
"We have gotten in touch with Publicus Asia regarding this to better understand what areas of our services could be further improved to ensure that we remain worthy of the Filipino's trust and approval," the AFP official shared.
AFP also congratulated TESDA for garnering the highest trust rating and approval rating in the survey.
"They have been one of our reliable partners in helping and providing better opportunities to people in areas we are deployed including our former rebels," Ileto said.
"This shows that their efforts are effective in reaching underprivileged Filipinos and are appreciated by the people they have served," he added.
PUBLiCUS Asia attributed the high approval rating and trust rating of TESDA to the commitment of the agency to provide 'quality technical education and skills training' that has garnered widespread support.
