The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) were named one of the most trusted government agencies in the country for the month of July in the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) nationwide survey conducted by OCTA Research.
Based on the TNM survey, the AFP obtained an 81% trust rating and 82% performance satisfaction from adult Filipinos in July. The public survey was conducted on 1,200 male and female probability respondents aged 18 years old and above, through face-to-face interviews from July 12 to 17, 2025.
Whether it is in surveillance of the territory, responding to a disaster, or meeting challenges in cyberspace, the survey says it will result in more effective and disciplined work from the military.
This is a jump from the same 65% grade given by the citizens to the AFP in April. Aside from the military, the Philippine National Police (PNP) also received high marks from the public, which just changed its leadership two months ago.
According to AFP Spokesperson Colonel Francel Padilla, the non-partisan survey shows the public’s confidence in the Filipino soldiers. The AFP leadership expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Filipino people, who believed and trusted them, and to their service.
