The Armed Forces of the Philippines (PNP) denied the accusation of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) that government forces killed two of its top leaders Benito Tiamzon and Wilma Austria-Tiamzon, and called this as just mere "propaganda."

"Their allegations of capture and torture are part of their propaganda and an attempt to deceive the Filipino people," AFP spokesperson Medel Aguillar said in a statement.

He also called CPP Secretary General as "fictitious person telling fictitious stories to deceive" the public, and a "digital person" whose exsistence is unknown.

Aguilar also mentioned the CPP has "lost direction and reason for its existence" as the party lost founding chiarman Jose Maria 'Joma' Sison and many top leader.

"The challenge of keeping the organization intact after Sison's death is a debilitating ailment that a leaderless organization could hardly del with," the NSA said.

He said the AFP along with the Filipino people will "triumph over the more than 50 years of violence brought by communist insurgency."

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, National Security Adviser (NSA) Eduardo Año welcomed the death of the Communist party's leaders.

"With the death of CPP founder Jose Maria Sison and now the Tiamzon cuple, the Communist Terrorist Group is now headless with no clear national leadership," he said.

Año likewise denied the CPP's accusation, saying there was "no truth" on their statement and asserted that this was "clearly fabricated."
