Additional police forces have been deployed in Datu Unsay and Shariff Aguak in Maguindanao after a series of explosions rocked the two towns on Sunday, May 8.

Local police reported that five rounds of suspected M203 grenades exploded at around 7:05 PM on Sunday near the municipal hall of Datu Unsay.

The blasts injured nine people who have been brought to the Maguindanao Provincial hospital in order to receive medical treatment.

Another blast happened along the national highway in Shariff Aguak, a neighboring town of Datu Unsay, at 7:17 PM on Sunday but the police assured that the explosion resulted in no casualties or damages.
