Abra's Myrna Esguerra was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 during the coronation night on Sunday, July 7, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Esguerra seized the top spot in a pool of 40 contestants, succeeding Binibining Pilipinas International 2023 Angelica Lopez, and securing candidacy in the Miss International 2025 pageant.
The 22-year-old also hauled five special awards, three of which were won on the evening of the coronation: Best in Evening Gown, Best in Swimsuit, and Best in National Costume.
The beauty queen is also a student, model, events host, and advocate for environmental preservation.
Six decades ago, in the year 1964, the first Binibining Pilipinas coronation night was held. A contestant also named Myrna--Myrna Panlilio--had also been crowned.

Hosting the coronation night were Catriona Gray, Nicole Cordoves, MJ Lastimosa, Kylie Versoza, and Ruffa Gutierrez.
