The Kurashiki Ablaze becomes the first foreign team to win a title in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Ablaze ruled the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference after defeating the defending champions, Creamline Cool Smashers, in five sets, 19-23, 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13, on Sunday, July 30, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Asaka Tamaru registered 29 points, including the game-winning service ace, to lead the visiting Japanese team.

Yano Yukino and Kawamura Miho both finished with 11 points while Tanabe Saki chipped in 10 points as Kurashiki completed an undefeated run in the tournament.
