The death toll due to contaminated water in the town of Rapu-Rapu, located in the province of Albay, has risen to four.
Adding to the count is a three-month-old male infant who passed away last Monday as a result of severe dehydration.
According to William Sabater, the Provincial Sanitary Engineer, the latest casualty hails from Marocborocan Barangay within the same town.
In response, the provincial government of Albay has collaborated with local water refilling stations, which are now responsible for supplying water to the evacuation centers.
It has been noted that the number of individuals experiencing diarrhea in the area has risen from 48 to a total of 108 cases.
The local government of Albay, in conjunction with various non-governmental organizations (NGOs), continues to distribute water filtration units to families residing in the Barangays of Rapu-Rapu, Albay.
