Four people lost their lives, and 25 others were injured in a road crash on the Aurora Boulevard flyover along Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City, on Thursday night, December 5.
According to a report by RH Noche Cacas, a truck driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle, crashing into another car, which subsequently struck multiple motorcycles along the roadside.
The collision involved 16 motorcycles, five four-wheeled vehicles, and one bus. The incident occurred during rush hour, shortly after 6 p.m.
Emergency responders, including the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, and the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, quickly arrived at the scene to assist the victims.
The fatalities included three men and one woman.
In a follow-up report by Val Gonzales on Friday morning, it was revealed that the truck driver allegedly fled the scene out of fear but was later arrested at his residence on CP Garcia Avenue, Quezon City.
The Quezon City Police District is continuing its investigation into the incident.
