The rescue team has successfully retrieved remains of three out of four Cessna plane crash victims from the slope of Mayon Volcano, Albay Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo confirmed on Wednesday.
In a Facebook post, Baldo said one of the four bodies was dropped off in Barangay Anoling.
At about 3:13 am on Thursday, two other bodies were safely dropped off in Barangay Anoling.
Meanwhile, in a separate Facebook post uploaded at 11:15 am on Thursday, the Albay Mayor said the rescue team is attempting to take down the last victim.
Last February 25, the rescue team were supposed to brought down the victims' bodies, but they had a hard time due to the inclement weather.
Authorities located the dead bodies of the two Filipino crew members and two Australian nationals on board the Cessna Plane, several kilometers from the Mayon on February 23.
The passengers were earlier identified as pilot Capt. Rufino James Crisostomo Jr., crewman Joel Martin, and Australians Simon Chipperfield and Karthi Santhanam who were technical consultants for a local geothermal firm.
