The Department of Science and Technology and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (DOST-PHIVOLCS) recorded one phreatic eruption from the Mayon Volcano on Thursday night, July 18.
At 6:16 p.m., the state seismologist observed a phreatic eruption that triggered the 200-meter ash plume to spew out of Mayon Volcano.
The plume is approximately 656 feet or 200 meters.
Albay province is currently on Alert Level 1, with a low level of volcanic unrest.
