Senator Ronald dela Rosa on Wednesday called for vigilance as ‘Ninja cops’ or police involved in illegal drug activities are returning to their businesses.

He warned the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to monitor their colleagues.

“PNP mismo ang naghuli…Kaya nga lang, dapat vigilant tayo palagi. Advice ko nga sa PNP at sa DILG, bantayan ninyo ‘yang mga ninja cops. Kung makabalik ‘yan, sasakit na naman ang ulo natin,” he said.

The senator received reassurance from DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos as the department is already taking action.

“Sabi naman niya, ‘We are doing something about it.’ Hintay-hintayin lang natin…Basta andyan po, meron silang ginagawa,” dela Rosa shared.

Along with the 'Ninja cops', he also addressed the possibility of the return of drug personalities after the term of former President Rodrigo Duterte, who launched ‘Oplan-Tokhang’.

“Dahil nga pagalis ni Duterte, nawalan ng takot itong mga drug personality, bumabalik na naman sila. Kaya sabi ko sa kanila, ‘Double time kayo. Dapat ikumbinsi ninyo, ‘yung nawawalan na ng takot na mga drug personality na nagsibalikan na naman, ikumbinsi ninyo with your effort na talagang upakan ninyo ng husto’,” he said.
