President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. on Sunday said he has not yet decided if he would attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland on Jan. 16 to 20, 2023.
“I haven’t decided yet. It’s traveling too much. That is already the end of January,“ he told reporters in an interview after he arrived from Cambodia.
Marcos was invited by WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab during a breakfast meeting at the 40th and 41st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.
“I’m going to China on the third. Parang… like my Mom says ‘kailan ka nag-oopisina? I haven’t decided yet but we’ll see,“ Marcos said.
The Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) on Saturday announced that the President would embark on a state visit to China after he accepted the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The said state visit is scheduled from Jan. 3 until Jan. 5 [or] 6.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) earlier announced that Marcos would also attend the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2022 in Thailand and the ASEAN European Union (EU) in Brussels, Belgium, both scheduled this November.
